Pat Horner's Exhibit
at the Willow Art Gallery at 99 Tinker Street in Woodstock, New York
runs through May 31.
It is called EARTH CHANGES
and comprises a group of paintings and a selection of
works on paper from the past few years that juxtapose Horner's imagined landscapes with her feelings
and fears of Global Warming and an impermanent natural world. Taking the path between chaos and order,
these gestural works were nurtured and inspired by her recently departed friend and teacher,
Sam Spanier who visited Horner's studio regularly for years, supporting and advising her work.
Spanier studied with and assisted Hans Hoffman in Greenwich Village and Provincetown during the 50's.
